Christmas Cuddles!!!

Here is another post of my kids in holiday jammies... I don't really know why I feel the need to buy them jammies every holiday, but I think it may have something to do with the fact that they only get new jammies around the holidays? Tonight Dorothy was "helping" me put Preston down for bed, and I snapped a few shots of her "calming him down" and getting him ready to go to sleep!

Giving loves goodnight!

Two little Christmas bums!

Loves again!

Dorothy thought a slumber party might be a good idea...

Darling Dancer!!

Dorothy had her winter dance recital! She is becoming quite a little dancer; she was so into the dance she would run right into the other dancers if they were not moving! James and I proudly watched her and AMAZINGLY Preston also watched the recital. Now if we can just get him to sit thought church. We had a small dramatic episode after the recital when the trophy we ordered for her was not in yet. As you can see in the pictures with us she is not too happy!! We gave her a wand and ballet ornament to compensate until the trophy arrives, but there were still tears and a small yelling session compliments of me, her Mom.

Trying to smile!

After WWIII we are both trying to smile!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

We enjoyed Thanksgiving at Allison and Jon's house this year! We drove up a little early and let the kids have some 'cousin time!' Allison, Kelly and I all made the meal including the sauerkraut!!! We enjoyed time as a family especially entertainment hour by Conrad! After dinner we played rock band and mapped out our black friday shopping spree!!! It was a wonderful day to think about all of our blessings!! We missed you Mom, Dad, Dickens and Adam!

Finally I am not at the 'kids' table this year!!!

Dinner... enjoy!

The hands that prepared it!!!

The 'dancers' during rock band!!

Thanksgiving turkeys!

Every year I make these turkey's for thanksgiving. This year since we were at Allison's house we decided to do it with cousins!!!

Twilight at midnight!

So about two weeks ago... yeah, I am pretty behind on blogging! I went to Twilight at midnight. A few girls from my ward all went to dinner and then to the movie I only took a picture from dinner because I was so excited about the movie I forgot to take anymore! I loved the movie and can't wait to see it again!

Go UTES!

Getting this family ready for the big game (aka Utah vs BYU) is a hard job. I got the family all dressed up to watch the game last night when they beat SDSU by 49 pts. We decided to take some pictures. These are mostly for you Patty because I know how much you love the Utes.

The family ready for the game. This was for you Patty!

The Colorado "U" featured on 'our' mountain. There should be a #1 next to them.

Dorothy's amazing catch during the Thomas half-time game.

Preston scored the first touchdown.

"I want to have hair just like yours!"

This morning while I was getting ready Dorothy asked me " Mommy can I do my hair like yours today?" I told her that I would have to straighten out her curls to make her hair look like mine. She immediately said "that's ok!" Knowing that James would kill me because he LOVES her curls I hesitantly decided to do it... Sorry James! So we blew out her hair and curled it under. She looked into the mirror when it was done and said "I look like Hannah Montana!"
MOVE OVER MOMMY!!

With our "matching" hair!

Holy-moly when did her hair get that long??!!!

Little buddy needed to be in the photo-shoot!

Bowling Alley Fun!!

This weekend we went bowling with our friends the Adams' ! To get the real bowling alley feel we had to come up with official bowling alley names like Fred, Shirley, Larry, and Wilma!! Dorothy and one of her best friends Emery enjoyed bowling a better game than me thanks to the bumpers and a ramp!! Preston spent the entire night trying to grab everyone's "ba's" and actually could pick up some of the lighter bowling balls!!! We had a lot of fun!!! The social butterfly Dorothy is already planning our next trip to the bowling alley!!!

Preston entertaining himself with the computer!!

Pumpkin Carving Party!!!

Tonight for FHE we carved our Halloween pumpkins!!! It took quite a while but I think the results were well worth it!!! Dorothy choose a funny face, James and I a spider and for Preston without question we had to do Lightning McQueen from CARS!!! It only took James and hour and a half to make Lightning but Preston was thrilled when he saw it!! I knew those steady dental hands would come in handy one of these days!!;) After carving the pumpkins we had a candlelight dance party to Thriller, Ghostbusters, and the Monster Mash!!! It was a pretty pumpkin-rific night!!!

Working on our creations!!!

Stopping for a drink break!!!

The proud pumpkin carvers show off their work!!!!

PS- The best part is I now have like a million pumpkin seeds to bake in lots and lots of butter. YUMMY!!!!!
