Nebo half!!

I ran the Nebo half marathon with Kim and Allison.  We had so much fun training and getting ready for the race!  The night before we all went to dinner (Emily too because she was running a different race the next day too)!  Early Saturday morning we left for the 1/2, we had to be on the bus at 5:15!!  The race started at 7 and boy was it cold!!!  We were making record time but at about mile 6 I had tummy troubles!!  We would have come in around 2:10 but I really slowed us down!  I felt awful and kept telling them to go ahead, but we decided before the race that we would all finish together!!!  I am so blessed to have such amazing supportive friends!  To top off a horrible race the clock apparently stopped working?  So my time was never recorded!  According to my Garmin we came in at exactly 2:30 which was not too bad considering the 3 bathroom stops!  I cannot wait to redeem myself next year and run it again!
Dinner the night before!

On the bus up and at the start and finish!

I look like I am fake smiling because I was!!  I was so sick!!!
I went home and spent the rest of the day in the bathroom and bed!
I also had a fever, so I think I may have had a bug!!

37th Birthday!

On Labor day I turned 37, we started the morning off with the Payson parade where we danced our pants off as inflatable teeth!  It was exhausting but lots of fun!!  Then we all got ready and went laser tagging!  The kids had so much fun playing with cousins and friends!  We finished off the day at Chick-fil-a where I had a gourmet birthday dinner!  The kids loved dinner and so did I!!

Jenny Oaks Baker!!

Dorothy was lucky enough to participate in the Jenny Oaks Baker workshop, she had to learn a few songs and then they learned how to play them with more feeling and expression.  They put on a concert after the workshop, and Jenny played for about 30 minutes after the kids did.  She also talked about violin and what motivated her.  She was so amazing and such a wonderful example of a successful LDS woman.  She has been nominated for 2 grammy's and yet talks about how that is meaningless compared how important being a role of mother is.  She also talked about how her parents (apostle Dallin H Oaks) influenced who she became.  She said that the Lord has superseded any expectation she ever had for her life and she knows that is because she always tries to follow the spirit.  She does a few workshops a year and performs a few times a year as well.  She is one of the world's most talented violinists yet she chooses to stay home with her kids!  She is an amazing example of a woman to look up to!
She was so sweet and beautiful!

Liquid Gold!!!

After all Summer of collecting pollen out bees produced enough honey to take some!!!  They are thriving and doing so well that we had to add another box on top!  We only took two slats of honey and scraped it off with our tool, then put it through a colander and then through cheese cloth.  The honey is AMAZING!!!  If you have never had raw honey before words cannot describe how wonderful it is!!  I am really hopeful that our little bees will do even better next year!!
We ended up with about 6 half pints

Sundance full moon lift!

We decided it was time for a date night and our good friends Tori and Lewis were totally in!  We went to dinner at Sakura and then drove up to Sundance to ride the full moon chair lift.  It was surprisingly cold so Lewis had to borrow Tori's sweater!!  We had a wonderful time!!!
