All the wonders of childhood...

The other day we went to the craft store and the kids got free balloons.  They are so intrigued by these balloons and insisted on napping with them and carrying them EVERYWHERE they go.  We were walking to get the mail and this is what I saw, I immediately ran back into the house and grabbed the camera.  I just HAD to capture this moment because these are the *moments* that I always want to remember!

Sweet moments!

Today I actually did some digital scrapbooking *gasp* I know!  As I was working I had this song playing in the background.  Violet came up and put her sweet little head on my shoulder and sang along to it.  It is one of the songs that our primary kids are learning for the program and that cd is always playing in the van.  It was such a sweet moment and it is such a beautiful song that teaches the most important message!

Pre-School Graduation!

Preston finished preschool last week and we had a little party at our house to celebrate!  The kids had a great time playing and the adults had lunch together.  They even wore little hats and got certificates!

Proud mommy moment!

I have to record this because honestly these moment are so few and far between.  At church on Sunday a man in the ward came up to me and told me this story.  He had been substitute teaching a few days before Mother's Day and had the kids in the class go around and have each one tell something they love about their mothers.  When it was Dorothy's turn she said "I love my mom because she teaches me about Heavenly Father" he wrote it down because he thought it was so sweet and the kind of thing a mother would be proud to hear.  I was overwhelmed that she said that and grateful that things I am *trying* to teach my children are beginning to sink in!

Bad hair cut!

On Saturday night I always bathe the kids, paint the girls nails, and do their hair.  While I was in the middle of doing Dorothy's hair I hear Violet start to cry "Pressy ruined my hair!" I jumped up and found clumps of hair on the floor!  Here are pictures of the destruction!
After the 'incident' notice he has been crying!

The tool of choice!!!  Don't worry they were put up waaay high but that kid is a monkey!

Just sew it up!

We have had an eventful time lately, Dorothy started by bumping her head on the railing and ended up with 4 stitches.  Then a week later she was running around the yard and sliced her foot open and got stitches again!  She insisted that my dad do it because "daddy is not a Dr like Grandpa."  So thank goodness for a grandpa who knows how to perform stitches ;) and a daddy who knows when his daughter is in hysterics, to just let her have her way!

The last of Easter

The last thing we did for Easter was have an Easter egg hunt.  The kids loved finding the eggs and the weather even cooperated and we had a beautiful Spring day!
