Our pumpkin creations!

We carved pumpkins for FHE and this year decided to do more traditional pumpkins!  The kids LOVE this tradition and the best part was... all the pumpkins we carved were from our own garden!
Working on Violet's pumpkin!

James working on Pressy-boy's!

Violet and her witch pumpkin!

Pressy and his 'spider man' pumpkin!

Dorothy and her kitty pumpkin!

Eating the BEST part... the SEEDS!!!

Dorothy wants the whole bowl to herself!

The finished product!

Out on the doorstep, ready for trick-or-treaters!!!

Amen to the above said. I planted pumpkins this year too, but they didn't really turn out. Awesome pix!

My dear Tricia, those are NOT traditional pumpkins. Traditional carved pumpkins have triangle eyes, round nose, and jagged teeth OR smiley mouth. That's really the only variation on a traditional pumpkin- the mouth. Yours are fancy schmancy pumpkins. I just thought you should know . . .

I have totally dropped the ball on Halloween this year...we totally did NOT carve pumpkins or anything of the sort! But Caleb thinks the guts are gross and won't touch them. Bryce would, of course, follow suit. And Jon-Michael doesn't want to carve them all himself, because I don't want to help. What a good family you are! Awesome home grown pumpkins too!

Those are awesome jack-o-lanterns. And how great that they all came from your own garden.

Your pumpkins look fabulous! I must agree with Kay though. Those are MUCH more detailed than anything I carved growing up. Love it. Love that you love Halloween as much as I do :)

If those are "more traditional pumpkins"... I wonder what the others are like. Ours are pretty elementary compaired to yours. Love the Spiderman one!
