Elf on a Shelf!

We started a new tradition (which is so great I want to share it!)  We picked up The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition with Blue Eyed North Pole Pixie-Elf and my kids are OBSESSED!!!  It has the most darling story about the elf that reports to Santa each night if they have been naught or nice, then flies back and hides in a new place!!!  Here is our little elf the kids named Krinkle...
Here he is watching over the kids (the kids are not suppose to touch him or he will lose his magic!)

The cute book it comes with (here is to hoping that this little elf can keep Pressy out of trouble!)

We have an elf and my kids absolutely love it! He just doesn't sit on the shelf anymore...this morning we found him in a box of cereal! The kids thought that was so funny! Last year we woke up to snowballs (ie cotton balls) all over our living room. Apparently he had a snowball fight. ;) It's a great tradition! One my kids anticipate every year!

I like the snowball fight that the previous commenter did! We have had our elf for a couple of years, my aunt sent him to us. My kids also love him, it is such a cool thing. I totally tell my kids that he is watching when they are doing things wrong. It usually makes them behave!

That is such a cute tradition. What a great idea. It reminds me of one we used to do. We had a Christmas angel. You would find the angel on your bed that someone just made for you or at the site of some other annonymous service. Then it was your turn to do a service and leave the angel. It made for a great December.

Cute idea. I hope it works to have one month of peace.

Best. Tradition. Ever. Can you find that book on Amazon?!? I keep threatening my kids with "Santa's watching!" but the seriousness seems to have worn off...
