The Lion King

Last night we saw 'TheLion King' it was amazing!  I felt the spirit so many times during the show, and was blown away by the costumes!  I love the themes during the show: that we are children of The King, we have greatness within all of us.  Our Father is always there for us, we are never alone.  When we don't do what's right, there is always forgiveness.  At the end of the show Simba climbs pride rock to re-claim his place as king and heir to the throne.  Redemption finally comes to a king who was once so lost and afraid, it was magnificent!!
We ate at Zupas before the show!

My brother kept telling me how much he was loving "Girls night out" with dinner at Zupas and then a Broadway show!

Dorothy and I before the show!

The amazing show!

We both wore our "Lion King" shoes!

Dorothy was so tired she could not even keep her eyes open for one more picture!

Dorothy *made* me get her a shirt because she got one when we went to Wicked, and had to have a Lion King one too!

Wow! Profound thoughts on the meaning of this story. What a fun "girls" night out. I'm glad Preston enjoyed it, too.

Ry has watched the movie a million times and not once did I make a religious connection. I feel lame now. It will have a whole new meaning next time we pop it in.

That looks like so much fun! I can't wait to do things like that with Mackenzie when she can hold still a bit through a whole show!

Roger, Mindy and I saw this in London, almost sold-out, and it was even worth standing up in the SRO section. We all sat in different sections and rotated at intermission. It's a beautiful show in every way!

Sounds amazing! I'd love to see that one. Blake and I just saw Wicked and loved it.

I wish I would have known! Our friend's husband is one of the antelope and she's always offering his services for backstage tours for our friends. Bummer! I'm glad you got to see it. It comes out here to VA in November. We're excited to go see it.
