The 4th of July!!
My brother Evan and wife Kelly hosted the family party on the fourth. We had hamburgers and Cheetos as they were requested by my parents. We ate, hung out, rode the four wheeler, had tank wars, watched fireworks, and appreciated this great nation!! After living in Russia now for 3 1/2 years, my parents shared with us how lucky we are to be citizens of the USA!!!

That picture of Dorothy, Kyra and Lillian is so cute. You can definitely see a resemblance. How fun to finally have your parents home to celebrate a holiday together!!
The first family picture of you guys decked out in red, white, and blue is SO cute!! You are all so photogenic, I'm jealous. We've yet to get ONE of the 4 of us that I like well enough to post. It must have been so fun to be able to celebrate with Grandma and Grandpa Mickelsen-- and for them to get to meet little Violet. All I heard about the family reunion was that Whitney baby-snatched her every chance she could and wouldn't give her up.:)
p.s. Hopefully you got my thank-you note in the mail, but THANK YOU again for the darling quilt!! It was really such a fun surprise, and very thoughtful. You're amazing!

That is a great family shot and I also love the cousin picture. They'll treasure that when they're older. It was so fun to see you and to meet Violet. I'm hoping that this post means you are home safely. I've been worried about you driving by yourself.
