Preston graduates from pre-school!

I cannot believe that Preston is headed to Kindergarten next year, he is growing up way too fast!  He loved pre-school this year and especially Miss Jennie his teacher.  They had a little graduation program and here are pictures from it.

A Solar Eclipse!

We were lucky enough to be right in the line (on the map) to see the solar eclipse.  It was a really neat thing to see!  We all got our viewing glasses on and watched it on and off for about 2 hours.  The kids thought jumping on the trampoline was more fun but they did enjoy it too!

Violin Recital

Dorothy and Preston have been taking violin lessons all year and had their Spring recital.  Dorothy played 'May Song' and Preston plucked Twinkle.  They both have come a long way in a year especially Dorothy who is turning out to be quite the little violinist!  Poor Preston is a little South paw and if you are left handed they make you play the violin the same way.  He had struggled to learn how to hold the bow with his right hand but is finally starting to get it!  Someday being left handed will be a gift and help with his fingering but for now it feels off to him!

Dorothy's end of the year program!

Dorothy's school had a program for the 1st - 3rd graders it was really cute they sang a bunch of songs.  Dorothy was one of the two chosen from her class to be a 'soloist' and sing a special part.  I was so proud of her!  Here are pictures of the event!

After the program they look SO EXCITED!  I just about beat Preston during it because he kept talking as loud as possible telling me "I'm thirsty, I'm tiered, Is this over yet!"  Yeah it was a real joy!

Poor little Violet fell of the porch swing at a friend's house and hit the concrete really hard.  She fell asleep right after that and I took her to the Dr's to make sure the poor little thing did not have a concussion.  She was fine but about 2 days later blood started pooling under her eyes.  Needless to say the next few weeks worth of pictures will be filled with Violet's two black eyes!

A few weekends ago I went to Park City for a few nights with some friends to get some R&R!  We went shopping, stayed up LATE, ate and ate, and had a wonderful time.  I only took one picture the entire time!

Preston finally learned how to ride a bike by himself.  Last year I think he was ready but it was not his idea so we made no headway!  This year he announced that he wanted to learn and the wheels were off... 20 minutes later he was doing it all by himself!
