Our couples Ragnar team ran the Napa Valley Ragnar this year. It was gruelling and by far the hardest Ragnar I have ever run but when we finished it was so rewarding!!! Four members of our team ended up not being able to attend due to the death of a close family friend and the fact that one of them (the stake president) was speaking at the funeral. So we were short four runners, Evan immediately conned Jim Dillon (a good friend) into running it with us and he jumped on a plane and came to save the day. I was only planning on running a total of 13 miles but ended up with 20. James only planned on 18 but ran 26. We all ran 4 legs and that last leg was sheer torture but we all pulled together and finished the race!! We bonded and laughed and enjoyed our amazing trip to San Francisco with a stop at Alcatraz, lots of shopping, Lombard street and a few stops at Ghiradelli square!!!
Can't go and not eat at Scomas!!! Mmmmmm
Lobster ravioli!!!!
Alcatraz interesting and beautiful!
Our nine man team (not pictured Jim Dillon)
James was lucky and got to run across the Golden Gate bridge!!!
7 miles of beauty and the run we all wanted!!!
Our awesome team van!!! We wrote on the back the 'what not's of running' such as
do NOT forget toilet paper
do NOT eat mexican food before a big run
all whatnots are from personal experience and we laughed so hard writing them all!
The last day we relaxed drove all over the city and stopped for some more Ghiradelli ice cream!!!
