Merry Christmas!!

I just want everyone to know that I am grateful for this season that is centered around the Savior. In 2000, I was lucky enough to spend a semester in Jerusalem. I truly think that it was there that I gained a strong testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ. It does not take traveling halfway around the world to have this knowledge--just for the slower folks like me. But I am grateful for that experience and the testimony of His life and mission I gained while there. We all know the old cliche "Jesus is the reason for the season," but I hope that everyone will take a moment to think of His life and mission this holiday season.

We are in Utah celebrating the holidays with family so I know I will not be updating as I should be!! I just want to wish all my wonderful family and friends a Merry Christmas!! I will have a blogfest 2008 when I return!!!

Lots of love from the Thomas family!!!!!

Right or Left????

Heather, I am totally copying you!!! I saw this on my friend's blog and thought it was awesome!!! This article is from an online newpaper and there is this great optical illusion that spins. Which way you see it spin tells you whether you are more left or right-brained.

I saw it spin both ways, but first counter-clockwise. If you concentrate really hard, or your brain is broken (like mine) you can make it spin both ways!
check it out!

Leave a comment on which way it spinned for you.

Tiny Dancer!!!

Dorothy had her dance recital!! She was adorable in it and as a proud unbiased Mother I just want to say she was the best dancer in her class!!! She danced to "Love Love Me Do" by the Beatles and "Tiny Dancer" by Elton John. I am trying to talk James into Youtubing it and putting it on our blog! I guess we will have to wait and see..... After the recital we gave Dorothy the roses we had gotten for her and immediately she started crying.... She wanted a "trumpy" like all the other girls. They were selling these junky little plastic trophy's that she could not live without, and because she was absolutely amazing in her recital dances we got her a "trumpy!"

Little Angel

We had our Ward Christmas party! It was really fun! They had a gift exchange, and a fancy dinner. Then of course, the primary children put on the Nativity scene. I absolutely love this part!!! Dorothy was not supposed to participate because she is not in primary. But I managed to pull a few strings (I am friends with the primary president) and she was an angel. Thank goodness because all night she was asking me if she could "go on the big stage for the show" Then we heard bells and Santa showed up!!! Dorothy could not wait to tell him what she wanted... A pony baby, boy baby, and a watch! Good thing Santa was listening!!!

Dorothy as an angel being attacked by a child dog???

There were a lot of angels!

Santa I want a pony baby, boy baby, and watch.....

Christmas jammies for everyone!!!

Alright, as the crazy parent I am... I love matching jammies on my two little munchkins!! I found some cute unisex jammies for the two little naughties and had to immediately go to the gap and get them. I thought I would save them until Christmas Eve when I could snap endless pictures of my two little Christmas elves (to use later for blackmail!) Unfortunately, Dorothy insisted that she wear them that night! After telling her "no" five times she went to Daddy who was unaware of my plans to save them and happily dressed Dorothy in her new jammies! So we dressed Preston and took some early "Christmas Eve" pictures. James kept making fun of me telling me that they are not disposable and can be worn more than once!!

Side note: I swear I have cleaned that fireplace a million times. The fingerprints you see are on the inside.

Princess' wishes on ice!

Dorothy's wish came true and she got to see ALL the princesses at the same time!! We got tickets to the Disney's Princesses on Ice show and took Dorothy! James and Preston were good sports and came along! Dorothy sat mesmerized the entire time by all the stories they told! She also went home with a new Ariel doll which she absolutely loves! We had a really good time and unlike the circus, I would highly recommend going to this show!!!

Yeah that's real fire!!

Who's the ace of cakes????

Two of the Young Women in our ward recently had birthdays so..... I decided to make their cakes like Duff would! I made the fondant and designed the cake. I am not saying that they turned out amazing but, for my first time I think it went quite well!! I can't wait until Dorothy's birthday...I can only get better!!! (hopefully!)
